"I wanted to share with you my top trans-seasonal wardrobe picks for Summer"

This season, I’ve made a spring clean resolution to get rid of any clothing that isn’t versatile or that I haven’t managed to squeeze into over the last couple of years. To help you do the same, I wanted to share with you my top trans-seasonal wardrobe picks for Summer, that you can dress up or down and best of all - for comfort!

My personal style is a mix of street and luxe pieces; I like to mix fast fashion with classy timeless pieces. Check out my pick on the Summer season below:

1. A Tailored Blazer

Save your pennies ladies and invest in a good quality blazer, I literally live in mine. I wear it over dresses for a night out or over denim shorts for a more casual day look. Black is best, and make the look versatile by pushing up the sleeves for a day outing or cape it by draping it over your shoulders. Make sure it fits you perfectly on the shoulders and even get it tailored if need be. The look at the moment is more of a long line blazer rather than cropped, so if you are in the market to buy a new one, try Camilla and Marc, White Suede or Carla Zampatti.

2. A Silk Slip Dress

These are so on trend at the moment! I purchased a size up from my usual size so I could pair it with a white t-shirt for a more 90’s day look, or with my Stan Smiths for more of a street vibe. It’s the perfect dress to transition from day to night, and even to pair with a boater hat for the spring racing season. I love this dress from @carverthelabel so much I bought it in a few colours!

3. A Cute Jumpsuit

I live in jumpsuits in Spring and Summer; they really are my go-to for any day events or long lunches with the girls. Try to find one that isn’t too ‘boobie’ as you will be showing off your legs, and the old rule of either showing legs or cleavage is a good one to stick to! I also like playsuits that have loose shorts so they could almost be mistaken for a dress instead of a jumpsuit. Wear them with a pair of brogues for the perfect day look or with heels for a night out or evening event. Try Ministry Of Style or Aus Labels for the perfect jumpsuit.

4. Mix Linen and Denim

Linen anything is huge this Summer. I have linen tops, shorts and this gorgeous wrap dress from Sir the label that I love because I can dress it up or down. Linen is not only a light fabric and perfect for the warmer months, it always makes me feel like I am on a European holiday when I wear it! Try Sir the label or Hansen and Gretel for some great linen pieces. For this shot I have paired it with an oversized distressed denim jacket from Ksubi. Don’t be afraid of the over sized jacket look, this denim jacket goes with EVERYTHING! I wear it casually over dresses, structured shorts and my favourite casual outfit at the moment is to wear it over my favourite ripped black jeans with a grey long sleeve top. The oversized look is effortless but also very chic.

5. Bomber Jacket and White Sneakers

As you may be able to tell from my Instagram (or just from this article!), I wear A LOT of black, so the ‘white sneaker’ trend couldn’t have come sooner for me. I wear mine with dresses, a blazer for meetings, with my black structured shorts (as pictured) and also with any of my drop crutch track pants I wear for chilled breakfasts with the girls. Invest in them and live in them! Because of the way the shoes are cut, they make short legs look longer and they are just so damn comfortable. Now to my go-to day look is my bomber jacket. Don’t be afraid to wear it over day dresses or just tie it around your waist for a cool laidback look. Try and find one with embellishments or patches on the back to give your outfit some flavour. Once again, go up a size! It should just sit at your waist, no higher and you also want to be able to comfortably zip it up. Try General Pants or Top Shop for bomber jackets, and for the white sneakers try Converse, Stan Smiths or Adidas originals from General Pants.
