So wish I had read these reviews first, but I assumed it was the same old product I used to love just in new packaging... sadly not. I didn't even get around to trying it on my skin because as soon as I opened the package I saw how DARK TAN ORANGE the light shade was, and knew there was no way it would suit a light-skinned person like me. More than dissappointed, thank god it was on sale and I paid less than $10.

Who is actually this orange???

Just absolutely wasted my money buying this thinking it was the same product I've always used. For something described as light this is very dark and orange toned anyhow, but is a massive jump compared to the colour it was in my now unfortunately empty tube. This looks awful on me and I'm now going to have to find something somewhere else whereas garnier was my go to :( please revert back to original shade. Have added photo to demo the jump in shade.

Please bring back the old formula!

I've been using Garnier BB Cream since it was released many years ago. I recently ran out and needed to re-purchase only to discover different packaging. It's not only the packaging that has changed though, it's a whole new formula and it really doesn't blend in nicely and sits horribly on my skin :'(
I will be going onto ebay to locate the original formula and buying enough to last me a few years because I really don't want to have mess around trying to find another brand that suits my skin.

Shocking Product, I Absolutely Hate It!!

I bought 3 packs of this product without realizing it wasn't the same as the one I'd been using for years. I only used it once as I knew the product wasn't anything like the original one. I took it down to my local Op Shop. I hate it and just want to know why Garnier made the HUGE mistake of changing this very popular product. Why change such a popular product, makes no sense to replace it with something inferior. Please bring back the original. You can tell by all the reviews here that there's not too many customers who like it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. BRING THE ORIGINAL BACK!

So disappointed in the new formula

I have used Garnier BB Cream Anti-Ageing (light) for a very long time, and loved the texture and the way it made my skin feel - it was perfect. The new formula is dreadful - it is watery and sits on top of my skin, and feels very cheap and nasty. So the hunt begins for a new brand...devastated. Please let me know if you change back!

I have been using the Bb cream for years and loved everything about it but now the new formula is terrible, colour is completely different, I use the ivory and it’s very dark boarder line orange and very oily. Please bring back the old formula in the long thin tube

Very disappointed that the product has been changed. I have been using this for years and the new version is not good. The ‘light’ is a lot darker and doesn’t go on smoothly. It also doesn’t wash off like the original and leaves you feeling oily. Please bring back the original bb cream.

I got the light tone, and it's the most orange thing I have ever put on my face
It feels nice and is a good moisturizer but the colour is horrid.
I do not recommend for people with very light skin such as myself

I recently had to replace my bottle, only to find new packaging. Alarmingly the packaging isn't all that has changed. The light is now alot darker, too far for my skin. I am now having to look to find an alternative after years of happily using this product

Dark orange, terrible new formula

Different formula, does not sit well on skin. Made me look tired. No coverage. Washed it off an hour later.
Not light tone as all. Dark orange in colour.
Price has doubled at $18. Will not buy again and this one is going in the bin as I don’t even think I could give it away.

What happened!!

I’m so sad about the new formula - this was my go-to product, and now I can’t use it at all. It makes my skin dry when it used to feel great, it looks awful and doesn’t last. Please bring back the original!! No idea why this was updated - it was perfect before.

Light? Light where, this is orange, I use to love this product, forget the formula, what is going on with the colour? I could only use this if I did a double tan first. I stupidly bought light for everyday and medium for when I tan not realising they were both a stupid shade of orange, straight in the bin.

Waste of money! Light is now dark?!

I've been using Garnier BB Cream in light for probably over 10 years without any issues. It's always matched my skin and looked great. That was until I finished a tube that had the old packaging and opened up a tube of the "New formula". What an absolute disaster - it's now so much darker that my skin looks orange. Not sure why you had to do this to your consumers, Garnier, but I will have to find a new BB cream. I can see many unhappy customers reviews but not any resolution. How bizarre that this doesn't phase you?!

I have only just finished my BB cream and had to use the new formula BB cream, why oh why Garnier have you decided to change this product ? I don’t know what’s more frustrating, having spent money on something that is such an inferior product or having to now find a different brand hoping to find a BB cream that works as well as your original one did.
Please listen to your customers and bring back the old BB cream !

I agree with all the other reviews. I have been using the old formula BB cream for years and have been very happy with the result. The colour of the new formula makes me resemble Donald Trump - not what I was aiming for.
I also get a swollen, red and itchy face after using the new formula for a couple of days.
Please bring back the old tried trusted and true formula

I bought the product again recently after not using it for a couple of years, it was on sale and I thought I’d try it again as I had like to before. But as everyone else has said, I was very disappointed in the colour. The “Light” used to suit my fair skin perfectly, now it has a strong orange tone and looks so obvious on my face on my skin. Not sure how this new colour could be called light

Awful random change in product colour

What happened to the colour of this BB cream? I bought one recently that was for light skin but i bought the aging one this time and the colour came out brown and didnt blend with my skin at all, so i thought it was just because i changed type, so i bought the "classic" and it too has gone brown/yellow, a slightly different shade of brown/yellow but still completely different to the colour i used to use. So now i have two tubes i cannot use.

Terrible... Had been using bb light sensitive for years the new formula caused many breakouts every time it was used ... & has strange plastic texture doesn't even sit on the skin that well either & skin had a very bad reaction.. needed to change brands

This is horrible, Ive used the orignal garnier light l original cream for a long time and its done me well, the original one had great coverage for my redness and it made my skin look lighter, this new one is too thin and oily while its less creamy, Also it does not have good coverage as the old one and looks darker too. Garnier I have loved the old product this whole time but ever since the release of this new product I will not be trusting you again until you nring the old original cream back.

I see that I’m not the only one dissappointed in the new formula. Why change the color of a product, that’s just not ok. The new product is a LOT darker and I look like someone who’s used too much self tan. I’ve wasted money & time buying it. If anyone can recommend a good replacement I would appreciate it!!

Why has Light gone Dark???

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???? I loved this product and had worn for years always getting compliments. I just opened my new bottle and it's gone dark orange?? What has happened? Why have you changed the formula - it's far too dark now and the original was perfect. Are you no longer wanting to cater to paler white women? Such a shame as I now have to find another brand to wear which will bound to be more expensive. Bring back the original formula - wonder if I can get a refund??

I agree with all other reviewers, I was a loyal purchaser of this product in the Light tone since it first came out and I have very fair skin tone. This new formulation is darker almost orange and cakey on the skin. Please, please bring back ok’d formula!!

I have previously used the light (have been using Nivea BB cream more recently) and recall the colour was actually light and now is quite dark and with a horrible orange hue. The texture is more oily and doesnt sit nicely on the skin. Absolutely terrible.

This product is a terrible replacement for the original - rusty colored, sticky, and irritating to sensitive (face!) skin. I cannot imagine how the company thought this switch-up was a good idea. Please bring back the original immediately!

Why did Garnier change their BB formula?

Purchased the new formula BB quite some months ago. Noticed the change in packaging. Tried once to check the colour - absolutely not right. Went back to using the remains of my original BB cream. Now that is gone, used the new one again. Itchy skin almost instantly. Colour is definitely wrong for me. The original was perfect. The new formula is also heavily scented. I took it off. Won’t be buying this again. What a shame.

The new formular is awful, looks like orange caked on makeup. Leaves orange makeup stains in the sink and all over your clothes. I have been using this product for years and now need to find something else.
