    Leaves your hair feeling healthy

I quite enjoyed this hair colour product. It was very easy to apply, the after care felt nourishing and smelled divine. I'd say the colour turned out slightly darker than expected (possibly due to my hair type as it absorbs very quickly) but after 2 washes it lightened a bit to a point where I now LOVEEE the colour and look forward to purchasing and using again. I was very impressed with this product and would recommend to those opting for a colour refresh or wanting to try a DIY hair product with a salon quality without the salon costs.

    WICKED

I have around 60% grey hair, and this colour didn’t achieve full coverage, especially at my temples and parting. While the cruelty-free aspect is fantastic, the colour wasn’t ideal for my grey levels. It was easy to prepare and had enough product for my long, thin hair—though thicker hair might need two boxes. Despite visible greys close to the roots, Garnier Good provided 100% coverage elsewhere. It’s ammonia-free, which is a huge plus, and the conditioner left my hair silky and fragrant. I managed three applications, making it a valuable addition to the Garnier to line up.

    Permanent Hair Colour that lasts!

This is my first time trying out the Garnier Good Permanent Hair Colouring treatment. I have been coloring my hair for 10+ years and have tried many hair coloring treatments during that time - this one truly stands out among them! I love the fact that I can use the container to mix up the color treatment - this makes the process easy and mess-free. The color is easy to apply, has no unpleasant odor, and washes out well. I highly recommend it!

    Box dye that's eco friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being someone who uses box dyes all the time and for many year's this dye was very different, the advantages are less plastic, easy mixing the opening of the developer and colourant, was much easier, at first i didn't think there was enough mixture but after applying the colour there was ample for shoulder lenght hair, it does smell ok the conditioner has a lovely smell and makes your hair feel amazing , all that said i do miss the mixing bottle as it was easy to get straight to the roots and the mixture isnt as thick as others so my hair did tend to keep falling , the colour has turned out nice and covered my greys well

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Eco friendly, good smelling hair dye

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use, it’s like a thick hair mask. Worried at first it would be difficult to get into all my hair but it was really easy. I sectioned my hair started at the bottom and plenty in the tub for my shoulder length hair. I didn’t need to sit still and keep it covered, no drips or anything it’s perfect to carry on with my daily jobs. Washed out easily too. My hair is a lovely dark brown, really shiny and feels strong and soft. It’s just like I have used a nourishing hair mask. The smell is really good too which never happens with a hair dye. The packaging is very eco friendly too which is a bonus.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Not Too Impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging is like a Ben and Jerry's Ice cream tub. Once i emptied out all the products i read the instructions which were easy to understand and started to mix the dye in the tub. This i was not to keen on as i do like using a bottle to mix, but i done as instructed. Now applying to your hair was so awkward, having to use your hand or the spatula, i was getting the cream everywhere, then trying to apply it to your roots was just not good at all, this was not for, as i say i prefer using a Bottle its far easier, no mess and you get an even distribution. Only plus was the colour, this was a really good match to my hair and it did leave my hair looking glossy and shiny and healthy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Better then others

I recently tried a this permanent hair dye, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! The color payoff is incredibly vibrant and true to what is shown on the box, providing full coverage, even over my stubborn greys. One of the best aspects is how long-lasting it is—weeks later, my hair still looks freshly dyed with no fading. The formula was easy to apply and didn't drip, making the process mess-free. The dye was also gentle on my hair, leaving it soft, shiny, and healthy-looking post-treatment, thanks to the nourishing ingredients included. I also appreciated the lack of strong chemical smells that are common with other dyes. Whether you’re looking for a bold transformation or subtle touch-up, this permanent dye offers salon-quality results at home. It's a game-changer for anyone wanting vibrant, long-lasting color with minimal effort.

I have been wanting to dye my hair for awhile now but haven't been able to do so due to my tight schedule at work - when I got gifted this product I was so happy! My bleached and dry hair has been bothering me for the longest time. This hair dye product is so easy to use + does not smell as bad as the other hair dye I've ever used. I let it sit on for 30-40mins and rinse it off after, pretty self explanatory and easy for beginner!

So easy to use, great results!

I absolutely loved using this product! I was hesitant about the tub, but it was so easy to use. It spread through my hair so much easier, and I actually didn’t even notice any smell (which is usually sooooo strong with home hair dye kits). Afterwards my hair was so soft, shiny, perfectly coloured, and the conditioner smelt lovely, not at all like a hair dye conditioner. Fantastic all round!

    Lovely nourishing colour

Really nice, moisturising colour that coloured my greys! I’d recently gone from brown to blonde balayage (for many years) then recently went to red but couldn’t keep up the red maintenance and cost - so decided I needed to try a home dye again and something closer to my natural colour. I used to dye my hair brown in my 20s. This product was particularly moisturising and glossy!

    Garnier Good Hair Colour

I would not consider buying this product. The application process was terrible. The carton that you had to mix your hair colour with was not practical at all, too hard to get the colour out and you had to mix your colour together with a wooden stick, which broke. The colour did turn out fine, but I would not choose this personally for the difficult application process.

    Accurate colour, easy to use

This packaging is great where the mixture is thicker than other hair dyes since you use your hands to scoop out of the tub. The gloves fit small/medium hands suprsingly well! The colour was accurate, but further improvements could be made to leave a shinier and smoother finish. Nice where the conditioner has a screw cap making it easy to reuse.

    Great colour but difficult application

Great colour. But the set up to mix and then use it on my hair was a pain. It said to use the wooden spatula but it was splintered and left pieces in the dye. It was difficult to apply to my hair as I was scooping and using my hands instead of a bottle. The shea conditioner was great and I’ve been able to use it 4 times until it ran out.

The container and having to mix stir the mixture together was a bit strange, but overall it was good. It definitely coloured my greys, the colour is quite dark and my hair felt very conditioned after using it (better than before!). Would use again, except I'm not sure I like having to stir it myself.

    Dying at home

Firstly the packaging of everything Is a nice change to the usual home dying kits I have used before. I like the idea you can mix the dye in the container it came in. However when mixing in the container I found it took a while to get the mixture nice and smooth compared to using a shaker bottle the kits usually come with. The instructions were nice and simple and very at home friendly with the guid showing the use of hand when applying the dye. I also appreciate the clear guide on what can be recycled when it comes to the packaging and what goes to general waste. The dye itself applied easily and provided enough coverage for my just past the shoulder length hair. If my hair was any longer though a second kit would of been required for full coverage. I used the hair conditioner as directed, Keeping it in for 2minutes before rinsing out. Conditioner was nice but didn't feel silky smooth like other kits I have previously used. Overall happy with the colour and end result.

I got colour number 4.0 which is a dark brown. It refreshed my hair colour and covered greys. I have naturally frizzy hair so it doesn’t always look healthy but it still feels healthy after using this home hair colour kit! I appreciate that it’s vegan and cruelty free, and ammonia free.

Very easy to mix in the bowl, however a little harder to scoop out with your hand to apply it to the hair. I think a squeezy bottle gives you move even coverage, as I missed a little section at the back. The colour was a lovely light brown, very happy with the results.

It covered most of my greys

I received the 0.4 colour and I like that it hasn’t any strong fumes due to not having ammonia in it. While it did seem to cover most of my greys it faded after a few washes. The colour is more of a light brown instead of medium brown like I had thought.

    Great coverage hair dye

I received the Garnier Good permanent hair colour dye to test as a member of the community. I chose the 4.0 Cocao brown colour as i really like the brown shade. I was new to this range and wanted to see how easy was this hair dye was. The dye comes in a box with all the sachets and instructions. I used the same box to mix the hair dye in which i really found interesting. Using the spatula i applied to my roots and covered all my hair evenly. After 30 minutes i rinsed my hair with warm water and then i used conditioner and then after a few minutes i washed my hair again. I really liked the hair dye colour and my hair felt so smooth and soft. I am really impressed with the whole process as i found the dye easy to use.

    An excellent hair dye

I used the Garnier Good Permanent Hair Dye a week ago and I love it!.What really stood out to me is the packaging the hair dye comes in. The tub is made out of cardboard and the dye comes in little sachets with a wooden spoon to mix it together with no extra plastic to dispose of, just mix in one tub and apply. I found the dye easy to manage and application was smooth, effortless and without any mess either. The shade is perfect and in line with my original hair colour, my hair looked vibrant and fresh after using this dye. The other thing I really like about this product is that there is no chemical dye smell to it that usual hair dyes have, the actual scent is very nice and pleasant!.I would highly recommend this to everyone

Hair is like straw since using

I bought this for my dark brown hair for some subtle colour. Though the application and instructions are simple to follow and do, and the colour itself was nice not too bright in the sun and not too dark that it can’t be seen, the problem I have is with my hair after using this. I have used many box hair dyes before and never has my hair been as bad as after using this one. My hair feels like straw and so course whenever I wash it. I need to drown it in conditioner to soften my hair after each wash. I thought this was only after the first wash but every time my hair touches water now (and it’s been like 4-5 washes since dyeing now) it still feels like straw. I have no idea how to fix this, my hair was never like this. Very big downfall of this product.

I brought the Cacao Brown, purely to give it a try. I was sick of going to the hairdressers, not getting the colour I wanted and walking out with sooooo many stains of my hair line. Looked like I had a Dracula hair line most times. I looked a mess. I hated dying my own hair until I brought this, thank you! 🤎 Beautiful colour and if I get in a mess, it doesn't matter. All the stains wash off, it smells good and my hair is lovely and soft. I will never go back to the hairdressers ever. And it's far cheaper too. Great stuff!!

    Too much waste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a regular in colouring my hair, it's dark brown/ black and I do it every 4 weeks. I like the concept of no ammonia, vegan formula and 90% natural origin for Permanent hair colour giving 100% grey coverage. A few negatives now - you can't mix two shades together without wasting the remainder of the product. Such a shame as I wanted to mix 2.0 & 4.0 together. The number 1 & 2 sachet does not allow to use less than the product which is in the one sachet as it's not re sealable. I only really colour my roots so feel that I wasted almost half of the product which in this day and age is quite costly. Please please change the packaging on these two sachets, make them like the shea conditioner sachet. 100 mls of product in total is far too much just for a root application.

    Excellent addition to the range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love garnier hair dyes and this one is an excellent addition to the range . It shows exactly what garnier is all about . Sustainabilty , recyclable and all in all as natural as can be! I love the fact that they have said bye bye to the plastic trays and embraced the cardboard . The hair dye itself is easy to use but slighlty more messy as there is  no plastic bottle to apply with but it feels more like a hair mask when i was applying . I love the depth of colour and how shiny and glossy my hair was . Perfect !

    Perfect coverage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all i love the fact the packaging is fully recyclable and sustainable which i've started to look for more and more when using beauty products in general. It's slightly messier to apply without the plastic bottle however i would rather this and protect the environment. It's easy to apply and it covers my hair and greys fully and i also like the fact there's no ammonia smell too. It's user friendly as well as environmentally friendly and i love how great my hair looks and feels. Highly recommended!

    take control of the mix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use! I love how it comes in a cardboard tub that allows you to mix the products together. The tubs big enough that you wont spill the products whilst mixing and you can always pop the lid back on if the smell gets too much or if you need to go somewhere for a bit. Products easy to use and I feel like you have more control of the dye since its in a tub. Only downside of a tub is the potential mess it could cause when applying the dye. Dye works pretty well, sticks onto my hair and so far so good.

    So easy and fantastic results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just tried this for the first time and it won't be the last. The tub that you can just scoop your hand into is a brilliant idea. So much easier than trying to get the mixture out of a squeezy tube. The smell is lovely too. Not overpowering like a lot can be. There was a good amount of mixture that covered my shoulder length thick hair easily. The shea butter for use at the end was lovely and made my hair feel silky smooth and healthy. Once dry, I was so impressed by the colour and the full coverage. It left no greys and the colour was deep and warm. This is definitely my go to hair colour from now on. Because of the ease of use and the brilliant results it is going to replace my trips to the hairdressers as the results are just as good and a massive amount cheaper. Highly recommend.

Amazing and so easy to use to dye hair at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big tub for using which I must say is so much convenient especially dyeing your hair at home can be messy. I loved how there is no strong smell when you mixing the creme solutions together and using the tub provided it just makes it that much easier to use and apply to the hair. Easy instructions and would be easier to have a helping hand but I managed and I can see a lot of my white hairs are coloured which I loved. This is closer to my natural hair colour which I think it’s done a good job.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
