Follow the 4-step Keratin Sleek System for long-lasting smooth, shiny hair for 10 days, up to 5 washes:
Step 1: Cleanse hair and scalp with the Garnier Fructis Keratin Sleek Anti-Frizz Shampoo, then rinse.
Step 2: Squeeze out excess water, then follow with the Garnier Fructis Keratin Sleek Anti-Frizz Conditioner on mid-lengths and ends. Allow to sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.
Step 3: For a deeper smoothing treatment, apply the Garnier Fructis Keratin Sleek Anti-Frizz Hair Mask from root to tip, avoiding scalp. Leave in for 3-5 minutes, then rinse.
Step 4: Lastly, before applying this keratin hair smoothing treatment, shake the bottle to activate the formula. Apply 1 pump of the serum to damp hair - for longer or thicker hair, use 2 pumps. Do not rinse. Lock in the effects with heat by blow-drying and straightening the hair, and enjoy smooth, frizz-free results.

Bad smell

I purchased the Sleek and Stay range from Garnier (shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, and heat-activated serum).
The heat-activated serum has a very unpleasant, rotten, fish-like smell, which I only noticed on the third use. The other products are fine, so this appears to be an issue with the serum.
Please advise on the cause and arrange a replacement or refund.

A little goes a long way , my hair was noticeably less frizzy, particularly in the recent Sydney humid weather. I liked that the serum is a vegan formula, and cruelty free and has a fruity fresh scent that I adore. Do not recommend if you are air drying, full benefit comes when it is heat activated, recommend this truly amazing and affordable serum I plan to buy again and again!

It’s lightweight and goes on easily without feeling greasy and I’ve noticed my hair stays smoother for longer after blow-drying and straightening, especially compared to when I skip it. The scent is pretty pleasant too, and not to over powering. For the price it feels like good value and if you’re already using the rest of the Keratin Sleek range, this serum just adds that extra bit of sleekness and shine especially on humid days when frizz tends to come back. Just a little goes a long way, so the bottle should last a while.

It is what really elevates the blow dry and gives that smoother, sleeker finish. There is a bit of an art to applying it. The first time I used it, I applied too much and it felt slightly sticky. What worked best was combing my hair when it was damp, emulsifying a small amount in my hands, then scrunching it mainly through the ends. I used whatever was left on my hands lightly closer to the scalp to avoid overloading the roots. Once I got the technique right, it was very effective at smoothing and helped control frizz without weighing my hair down.

One of my favourite features is the lovely fruity scent (fresh without being overpowering) making styling feel like a treat. Paired with my straighteners, this serum helped create a polished finish while keeping my hair feeling soft, protected, and beautifully manageable. It does loose one star for being quite pricey so try to pick it up when on sale.

It was easy to distribute through the hair, a small amount goes a very long way. I found that my hair was noticeably less frizzy immediately after straightening my hair. The anti-frizz didn’t last very long for me, however I do have naturally frizzy/wavy hair so find this issue with most serums. I also didn’t love the pineapple-y smell, however this disappeared after drying.
Personally, I would use this serum if I were styling my hair for a same-day event so that it stayed super smooth for the day. Given the price and effectiveness, I would absolutely recommend this product.
