    Delicious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been lucky enough to have been given the Fructis Hair Food Nourishing Banana Shampoo to trial with the conditioner. I have long blonde thick hair and been using this shampoo for a couple of weeks now. First thing is first... can we talk about the smell?! My gosh!! It smells amazing! I don't even eat bananas but it makes me want to! It left a delicious scent on my hair, and it's not overpowering. My husband loved the smell and I have received numerous compliments. Packaging is nice.. it looks like a banana milkshake or smoothie in a bottle. A little bit goes a long way and it foams up quite nicely. I would purchase this product.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Nourishing Banana Shampoo

I always have quite dry hair and have been using the Garnier Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food Shampoo. The scent is divine it has a really noticeable sweet banana scent, the shampoo is clear in colour. I apply around the size of a 20-50c coin to my palm and mix with my opposite hand then lather into my wet hair starting from the scalp down. The shampoo lathers very well and gives my scalp a good clean while nourishing it instead of some shampoos that strip my hair or make it dry. I use this in conjunction with the Banana Hair Food Conditioner and Multi-Use Mask. I would recommend this great budget friend shampoo.

Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging for this product is very minimal (But still very cute) and has a textured feel to the bottle as it is made from 50% recycled plastic. It is vegan friendly and has a nice little ingredient breakdown on the back to give a little more insight into what has gone into the bottle. The shampoo lathers really nicely. A little goes a long way. The fragrance is absolutely amazing, it's like a tropical holiday in your shower. Leaves me with with hardly any frizz which i was I was amazed with considering the ample lather it produces. Overall a really lovely product that I would definitely recommend and repurchase.

    Tropical yummy delight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent of this shampoo hit me very quickly, it was lovely, sweet and uplifting. It wasn't sickly sweet banana but a more tropical mix! It's a shame that the smell doesn't last that long after washing but it's lovely to experience at the time. I can't quite give it 5 stars as it took quite a lot of product to make my hair feel fully clean, after using a decent sized two squirts it did leave it feeling very clean though. I have tried this three or four times and whilst the first try did not feel that softening, I think that each wash that has gone by my hair feels a bit softer than on that first wash. I would definitely recommend the product to others, well worth a try.

    Fruity!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo has amazed me. First of all....the fragrance is so fruity and yummy.....resist yourself not to take a small lick of it. IT leaves your hair smell so fresh and relaxed. The moisturisation is very good. My hair are dry and frizzy so am always after a product that makes them look soft and shiny and I think my hunt is over now. The product is so effective in getting rid of that dryness. The fact that its 95% organic makes it more likable. In fact I also used it a couple of times on my 5 year old because of no harmful ingredients. Will definitely buy again and would recommend to family and friends.

    Banana's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On first look, both the shampoo and conditioner are very minimal in terms of the packaging. But it's great to know that 50% of the packaging is made from recycled products! Upon opening the shampoo bottle, you're instantly reminded of bananas with the pleasant scent, not to mention, it's completely vegan! I love that this shampoo is 96% natural origin, and that there are no nasties going into my hair or into the environment. I love how clean my hair was after just one wash and how nourished my hair felt. This is a shampoo I would definitely purchase again, and if there are other 'hair foods' to be released in the range, I would definitely have to try them out too in the future!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Smells just like a banana smoothie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product looks amazing and smells like a Banana smoothie! It also uses great ingredients like coconut and banana and leaves my hair feeling soft, silky and smooth! It also makes my hair smell nice and is a very affordable product! It also doesn’t fade my colour and is safe for my naturally curly hair! I also find it revives my ends when I’ve used too many heat tools during the week and I also tend to use the Banana food range sometimes as a leave in conditioner/shampoo when styling my hair when it’s curly. This product is great to use and also makes my hair not feel oily and also just reduces frizz!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Devine smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this the smell was so devine I couldn't wait to use it. Unfortunately for my hair this shampoo was a big no no. My hair felt so dry and was so full of knots I could barely brush it. After numerous uses I realized this shampoo is just not for me. My hair felt so dirty and horrible and the only good part was the devine smell. The packaging was not easy to open if your hands are wet and you have no nails. I was so very disappointed in this shampoo. I followed up with the matching conditioner and had no luck. I also tried it with my favorite conditioner and still it didn't work.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Easy to use. Lovely to smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked trialling this product. I have gone from using a bar shampoo and conditioner so there is quite a difference and I think even the bottle being recyclable wouldnt encourage me to switch back to bottled. I'm also no a fan of the packaging looking too much like a juice or banana smoothie. I feel with the words "hair food" it could be easily injested by accident by a child or non-native speaker. The lather is amazing though and I didnt feel like I needed much. My hair felt clean and soft and was easy to air dry and brush when used with the conditioner. The fragrance wasn't too overpowering (even though I'm currently pregnant and some smells I do find a bit too much!)

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good shampoo but nothing wow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this, I expected a lot from it because of what it is called, being a hair food and how it looked. The packaging is very unique and the size is so cute. It smells so good but nothing close to a scent of banana or banana candy. I just thought it would be smelling like that. I like that it is colorless. When I used the shampoo and massaged my head, my hair feels a bit stiff. At the back of my head, I was thinking that my hair may be frizzy without conditioner based on how i’m feeling my hair wet and with the shampoo. But having tried the shampoo and checked my hair after it dried up, I felt the difference instantly. My hair felt clean and soft. I recommend this friends.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Better suited to dry hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to try the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo as part of a free trial. When first looking at the packaging of the products I could understand they were going for a juice/smoothie drink look. Not something I would normally gravitate to, perhaps better suited to a younger demographic (I’m in my early 30s). The product it’s smells and feels great. Washes normal as you would expect any shampoo. On day 1 my hair was lovely and shiny and felt clean. My challenge however was my day 2 hair... it was oily and looked like my hair normally does on day 3. For that reason I am giving my review as low. If you have dry hair and not prion to an oily scald this may work better for you.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Gentle and Effective Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have waist length hair and find the ends can get dry, so tried the ‘dry hair’ shampoo (with matching conditioner and mask). I was a little apprehensive that the scent might be a bit sickly, but this was not the case at all - it smells natural and I could identify both banana and coconut. I have sensitive, eczema prone skin, but found this product to be gentle - it did not cause a flair up. The shampoo didn’t feel like it left a residue and effectively kept my roots from getting oily between washes (every other day) which isn’t always the case with products for dry hair. I’d recommend this product for people who also find they have dry hair with roots that become greasy comparatively quickly.

    Smells like heaven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a lovely shampoo to use. The first thing you notice is the smell - it is HEAVENLY! It smells like banana but more like a foam banana than an actual fruit. It is sweet and long lasting, I find myself smelling my hair for hours afterwards because it smells so good. I love that this is a vegan formula as well and the fact that Garnier doesn't test on animals further reinforces this. In terms of how my hair felt, it felt clean but not stripped. As a blonde, it is nice to have anything hydrating so this was lovely to use. Highly highly recommend - even for just the smell alone!

    Tropical Goodness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With 98 % of the ingredients coming from a natural origin and being totally vegan too ! I am excited to introduce ! Garnier Nourishing Hair food Shampoo ! The fragrance of this smells lush , the banana and coconuttiness fragrance is amazing as you lather it onto your hair. . . Being silicone free I thought that this wouldnt have the lather that I was hoping for but I was wrong . The shampoo produces a lovely foamy lather which makes your hair and scalp feel squeaky clean results are shown immediately after washing and my hair was left soft smooth and manageable and well nourished.

    Smells amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smell is amazing and really stick to your hair, the packaging is so nice and different from other products, it looks super cute. It does it’s job as a regular shampoo, doesn’t feel heavy on the hair, but did not feel like it changed much on my hair. Would purchase it as a “basic” and natural option, but if I wanted a different kind of treatment to the hair. Do recommend it. I have tried the banana hair mask before trying this and I was just as satisfied with it. Probably wouldn’t change a professional production for this but as a supermarket or pharmacy brand is a good option.

    Not bad, not amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, if you don't like the smell of bananas - you will not like this product period. Luckily, I love it! I was surprised by the size of the bottles, they looked a bit small at first glance. After using the product though I realized it is quite concentrated and you don't need a lot of it at all which is a plus. I like that it's a vegan formula, the natural design of the label and the fact that it is 100% recyclable is great. It's an okay product, it does the job as far as a shampoo goes however its not amazing for dry hair in particular and I can't see myself repurchasing.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Banana Split - 50/50 about this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to test, upon opening I was greeted by the fresh fruity fragrance and excited to try the product. I have to say that whilst the product looks great and promises great things it was the smell that I felt was probably the best thing about this product - it lathered up well and the scent was delicious, however, I found it very difficult to rinse the product out and spend a lot longer than I usually would trying to remove it. I intentionally didn't use conditioner on this occasion as I wanted to see the result the shampoo had created on its own, disappointingly my hair looked rather dull and lacked shine after use and I did wonder if this was due to still having some residue left behind.

    Love the fragrance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the banana fragrance of this shampoo! I have had drier and frizzier hair than usual since being pregnant but since using this shampoo and the conditioner I have noticed my hair looking healthier and feeling lighter. This bottle goes a long way with only a small amount needed to clean my hair. Love that this shampoo was made with mostly natural ingredients, is vegan and the recyclable packaging, it made me feel like I was being more sustainable using this product. The bottles were so cute! I would recommend for people with dry hair to use this shampoo.

    Ultimate blends shampoo banana

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved this shampoo i used this along side the utltimate blends conditioner. My hair felt so fresh and clean after one use. Leaves hair clean and fresh for longer than many other shampoos on the market so if you want to give your hair a break for 2 to 4 days without washing to let natural hair oils build up again this can be done to protect hair before colour if you colour yourself at home as your natural oils protect your hair you can do this after using this shampoo without your hair looking greasy this shampoo lasts and so does the delicious smell!

    Not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the opportunity to sample the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Banana Shampoo as a part of Review Crew. This shampoo smells divine - exactly like bananas, which I love. The packaging is very cute and I found it easy to differentiate between the shampoo and conditioner which I think is a must. The shampoo makes my hair feel and smell quite nice initially however, I found that I was having to wash my hair more frequently as it was becoming oily sooner than usual. However, it is not a bad product for this price point. I really wanted to love this product as I love the smell and the fact that it is vegan. I would still recommend it to others to try however, I probably wouldn't purchase it myself as it is just not suitable for my hair type.

Lovely banana smell which is vegan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has a lovely smell of banana, couldn’t smell the coconut. The shampoo lathered up really nice but never felt that my hair looked shiny after use. I felt that it needed a better clean. It is great that it is environmentally friendly but I felt that I had to wash my hair more frequently because it does not give a good enough clean. I also feel that it is expensive for the shampoo and would not purchase again. This shampoo is for dry hair but it did not make your hair less dry. Loved the bright packaging of the bottle which stands out on the shelf

I love the smell of this shampoo, it has a gorgeous banana fragrance that is so yummy and the scent really lasts on hair. My thick hair can be dry in winter and this shampoo really helps with that and to lock moisture in. It’s thick and luxurious in consistency and lathers up well and rinses with ease. It leaves my hair really hydrated and easy to style and it helps fight frizz and static that comes with dry hair. it’s a great budget friendly shampoo as well. The packaging is cute and funky and I really loved it. I would buy this shampoo again

    It’s bananas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whoa! I didn’t expect to like this quite as much as I do. 1) I hate bananas 2) I haven’t been the biggest fan of this hair food range on my natural Afro hair but...I do like it! I was reading a dermatologist’s advice on washing hair thoroughly (not just co-washing) to remove the product and was scared of this being too stripping. It wasn’t. It left my hair feeling cleansed but not dry. I haven’t itched since, which I’d usually do within minutes of washing so I’m chuffed! I can feel my scalp, my hair feel refreshed and the scene is lovely

    Smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottle is a nice shape. Great size for a holiday. The smell is strong. I would say it leaves my hair oily. Normally get knots in my hair. Which this shampoo helped my hair not get to knotty. It leave my hair smooth even tho it's shampoo. The smell after shower is done is still left in my hair. I do find it to be stronger.. didn't expect the smell to last a few days, but it does. I would recommend this product. My hair was bleached. So using it on bleached hair has helped me be able to brush put any knots without to much trouble.

    Shiny hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I liked about this product is the packaging, its eye catching whilst still maintaining the high class look, there is so much information on the bottle, at a glance you can see what it contains and what it doesn't, the fact it is vegan as well as that the bottles are recyclable, all great things that attracted me even more. Banana isn't my favourite scent but the product suited my hair problems and type so I gave it a chance and I'm so glad I did, my hair was left feeling soft, smooth and was easier to comb and style. The fragrance smelt strong when using it but once washed out just left my hair with a mild, fresh and clean smell so I was pleasantly surprised. I would use it again and recommend to anyone who has hair that needs to be tamed!

Very smoothing, hair is soft and hydrated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good size packaging shampoo which would last long. The texture is rich and smooth gel-type transparent which lathers through the hair easily and turns into creamy, foaming lather. It feels very gentle to the scalp, gently cleansing scalp and hair, and washes off easily and fast. The fragrance is very appealing and indulgent, I like that it’s not too strong and overpowering yet refreshing and pleasing. Since using this shampoo my hair is silky, soft, smooth and nourished. It works well for my long wavy hair. The only minus: if shampoo is used alone, hair is hard to brush and detangle both wet and dry. So I would highly recommend using it together with matching conditioner. The next day hair is still clean and beautiful. I would recommend and would repurchase.

    Vegan Friendly and Silicone Free!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is super cute, just like a smoothie bottle and it also smells amazing! It doesn’t have a strong banana smell (which is what I was worried about). The other thing I love about this is that it’s vegan friendly and has no silicone. Only thing I noticed for my dry, long, curly hair was that I had to use a lot more in my first round of shampooing. After that it was super foamy which I loved. It made my hair feel really clean, although I was hoping for more shine and nourishment. Overall decent shampoo.

The packaging is cute and innovative, made from 50% recycled plastic with a focus on sustainability. The shampoo lathered well and left my hair feeling clean without being too harsh or stripping hair of moisture. Only a small amount is needed, so the product is great value as it will last awhile. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love banana scent in this shampoo, it's a clear gel, you don't need much product and it gives you a super lather, rinses out well, hair feels clean, and softer but not flyaway. doesn't feel weighed down. love that it's 98% natural origin ingredients, everything is clearly listed on the back, and bottle easily recyclable, which is very important. there is a matching conditioner and the 2 work well together. whole family love garnier and there is variety of shampoos and conditioners to suit every hair type

    Excellent product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't too sure on testing this product as I have very short hair, and thought it would not make much of a difference to it. How wrong was I? The shampoo was easy to apply, and I only needed a little in order to leave my hair lovely and clean without stripping it of any natural oils. The product smell is pleasant and not nasty, artificial, or overpowering. I worked well and did not leave any residue or nasty deposits! I'm officially a convert and will be using this, along with the mask and conditioner.

    Really love this shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Garnier Fructis Hair food Banana Shampoo is one of my new favourite hair products. Not only does leave my hair being nice and soft, my hair is much less frizzy and I can brush my hair without worrying about my hair sticking out. I pair this product with the hair food banana conditioner and love the results. I wouldn't say I love the smell when using it but I don't hate it and I love the smell of my hair after it's been washed. I also find a little goes a long way and I would be extra careful not to get any shampoo in your eyes as one drop accidentally dripped in my eye and it was sore for hours. I love that the bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic and that 96% of the ingredients are natural. I really am impressed with this product from Garnier and definitely recommend it!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Unfortunately the scent doesn't linger on your hair. It rinses out really nicely and doesn't leave any residue or leave it feeling stripped. Very easy to brush through post shower and air dried with hardly any frizz which i was I was amazed with considering the ample lather it produces. Overall a really lovely product that I would definitely recommend and repurchase.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Garnier banana shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only affordable shampoo my scalp can tolerate. Ingredients are safe and clean which I prefer, texture it’s not to heavy and doesn’t dry out my hair like others. ( I have dry and fizzy hair) The smell is divine which I wasn’t looking for but it’s a bonus and I got many compliments that my hair smells nice and it’s shiny. I use Garnier banana masc ( THE BEST) with conditioner for best results. For me this bundle it’s the winner- quality and super affordable. Thanks Garnier

    Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay this is my favourite product I've ever reviewed. It smells *SO* amazing! Every time I have a shower I crave a banana smoothie because of this shampoo. I really can't explain how amazing this smells. It's not really a fake banana smell, it just smells like banana bread. Moving on from the scent, this shampoo lathers really nicely. A little goes a long way, which is nice because the bottles are quite small and I have a lot of hair. After it my hair felt really clean, but not dry or anything. I was really impressed with this because my hair is on the dryer side and usually feels pretty gross after shampooing. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone. Its vegan, its 95% natural, its recycled, it's not tested on animals, it smells *incredible*, and it makes my hair feel amazing. I honestly don't have any negatives.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair is fine, damaged, coloured, highlighted and I curl it about 4 times a week. I do my best to look after it but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to stop breakage. The first impressions of this shampoo are that it lathers easily but not excessively and rinses out completely leaving no residue. I use the matching conditioner and have tangle free hair afterwards. My hair feels more nourished so fingers crossed it continues to improve.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product, The smell is amazing! I Used this shampoo and I didn’t need a lot of it to get a lovely soapy lather, my hair felt squeaky clean afterwards, I used with the conditioner and when I dried my hair it felt lovely and soft, smelling amazing and it seemed to have a straightening effect on my hair as after drying and straightening I didn’t need to go over it the next day. It stayed sleek. Added Bonus Highly recommended by myself

Cleanses hair well left feeling light and fresh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with how good this shampoo was because I had a feeling it was going to be like most others and leaving my hair feeling stripped and brittle but to my suprise, my hair was feeling light, not dry at all, and smelt amazing. I noticed it didn't tangle my hair too much either which I feel is a good sign. The packaging is attractive it's bright stands out from my other products on the bathroom shelf shelf aswell.
