Best leave-in for 4c hair

I have tender scalp and thick 4c hair so i’ve tried lots of products to soften my hair so it’s manageable without pain.
This is the best and most affordable conditioning product i’ve ever used on my hair! Absolutely AMAZING for detangling and restoring life to my thirsty hair. I’m on my 2nd jar already since my husband shares it with me. I’ve recommended to my family, friends and strangers too!

im a male with thick frizzy hair and its very difficult to style. I used this product, if you have hair like mine, drench it with cold water in the shower massage your scalp to ensure your hair is getting soaked. then apply the conditioner massage it into the scalp, immediately apply glad wrap on your head, leave in for 20-25 minutes, shake your hair, let it dry and it'll look amazing I promise !

I’ve been using this for 2 months and I love it. It’s not sticky and the scent is nice. Wish it’s available in Malaysia. I recommended this product to my family members in Malaysia to realise that they do not have this product.

Beautifully soft!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved this product, but the first thing I will say is if you're expecting a typical coconut-y scent, this isn't it- the smell is more fresh and clean and reminds me a bit of watermelon, of all things! Of late, I've been experiencing a lot of flyaway hairs and frizz on top and this has helped so much. It somehow manages to leave my hair still feeling light and beautifully soft, but at the same time, weighs down or smoothes down all those hairs with a will of their own. I've yet to use it as a leave-in treatment, but will definitely be giving it a go when I'm off on holiday in the sunshine in a few weeks- I'm expecting great things!

I really love this product. It's great as a detangler, referesher, deep conditioner- the uses are endless. BUT- sadly this hair food causes traumatic flare ups on my scalp to the point where by the day's end I'd love nothing more than to rip my scalp off. If you don't get a reaction to this product, then it's wonderful, but I'm in a Curly Girl Method group with over 26, 000 members and this seems to be a common issue. I end up having to slather my scalp in Moogoo scalp cream to stop the itch and get rid of the flakes and red, irritated patched around my hairline. Even when I've avoided the scalp and just apply it as a refresher to my hair this problem occurs. I'm not sure what the culprit is in the ingredients, but Macadamia seems to be the worst offender for this of all the hair foods. I hope Garnier look into their formula to see if they can't remove the offending ingredient as it really is a great little product. TLDR: Great product but can cause terrible itchiness for some people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product can be used in three ways, as a conditioner after washing and then rinsing off, as a mask to apply after washing, and leaving for five minutes before rinsing off, or just applying to the ends of the hair, either whilst still wet, or dry. I chose to apply it as a normal conditioner. The texture of the product was fairly thick and easy to apply. I don’t think the fragrance is as pleasant as the other Garnier hair balms and masks I have used previously.
My hair felt smooth after using this mask, but the next day my hair looked so greasy I had to wash it again. I don’t think I shall use this product again.

Ok product but leaves residue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was relatively disappointed with this product as had high expectations with enjoying the other variations of hair food. It’s not pleasant when using throughout dry hair or overnight as I woke up with very sticky and greasy hair which then required an extra hair wash. When using as conditioner after shampooing or as a 3-5 minute mask it’s absolutely lovely and does leave your hair feeling well maintained and managed. I like products which can be used in many different ways and this was unfortunately a letdown in that aspect as I wouldn’t buy such a big product just for one use and that being a conditioner.

After testing it out, I personally chose to use it as both a mask and leave in by only rinsing some of it out, and honestly I could not recommend any product more. You can use this instead of a conditioner too and it is honestly even more effective. It lasts fairly long as well depending on how much you use- maybe a couple months, since you really don’t need to use much- a little goes a long way! I have recommended this to everyone because of how great it is, so I definitely think it’s worth a try if you need a product to soften frizzy, damaged hair like mine x

Really hate it

I bought this 2 weeks ago, was very excited to use it as I have always wanted to try it but it was just not in my price range for stuff for hair, but I thought I’d treat myself & I couldn’t wait to have a shower that night. Used it as a leave in, took my hair out from a plait the next morning & my hair felt gross, wasn’t soft (something I was looking forward to) instead it just felt dead & like wire at the ends. Brushed if & it just went to worse frizz then usual. Very disappointed! Used once & made my hair worse than it already was. Really upsetting because I was looking forward to the softness & getting it more healthy, especially since I just got my hair dyed for the first time in my life & it’s just made it look ugly.

For smooth hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair gets very dry and unresponsive to anything I try in the winter so I tried this hair food.
You can use it in different ways: either as a conditioner where you wash it out after, or a mask where you wait for 3 minutes before you wash it out or you can even leave it in and just dry your hair.
I tried option 1 and I can report that my hair felt instantly smoothed and not an unruly hair in sight. I had a sleek finish but I did have to wash my hair again the next day as it was and looked very oily.
This is therefore not a product I would use regularly, more a once a week thing during the winter months will do the trick.
Definitely worth keeping handy in the shower! oh and it smells nice too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having tried so many hair masks for curly hair, this was another one I was sceptical about as in my experience they can be very hit or miss, but after a few washes with this I can honestly saw I really noticed a difference within my hair, especially with curl definition and moisture, which as you know isn't always easy to achieve with curly hair types. This mask left my hair feeling super soft days after my first wash day, and even when refreshing my curls I could still smell the wonderful coconut scent! Would definitely love to try out the other masks and see what they're like :)

The thing i liked most about Garnier's hair mask is its versatility- you can use it as a prewash treatment, or a hair mask under the shower, and even as a leave-in product. I tried all methods and the result were amazing every time- soft, luscious, luminous hair. The smell of coconut lingers in the hair for quite a while after you get out of the shower. This product is truly amazing. I love the smell, the texture and most importantly, the result i get!

Smooth and sleek

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Coconut and Macademia mask as, although I don’t have frizzy hair, my hair can be very unruly. I only used it as a conditioner (rather than a mask or leave-in) as, if I use too much product or leave it on too long, conditioning products usually make my hair feel weighed down and greasy looking. I have mid length hair and tried to keep it just to the mid and ends of the hair rather than the roots to avoid the greasy look. After using the product, my hair definitely felt much smoother and easier to style but I can’t honestly say that my hair was instantly detangled straight after using it. It felt rich and had a nice coconut smell which wasn’t overpowering and my hair feels nourished and more manageable.

This Hair Food can be used as a normal everyday conditioner, rinse out mask and as a leave in conditioner . It promises to nourish and condition hungry hair . The fragrance of this smells lush , the coconut and macadamia nuttiness smell amazing as you lather it onto your hair. I have frizzy, curly, unruly hair day in and day out. I can’t straighten my hair without the frizz, wash it, brush it, tie it up etc. I can’t use this as a conditioner, it did nothing for my hair type wet. Damp hair though, worked wonders to moisturise my hair as well as detangle and smell beautiful! I’m still not too sure about how to use it in my hair when it’s dry but I’m working on it. I do suffer badly with dandruff and an itchy scalp 24/7, I know it’s not suppose to go all over your head but I did it anyways because it works in my hair, it sort of stops the irritation and minuses top visible flakes which it good on my end. It also helps straighten my hair and keep it flat. I’m someone who’s tried many things hair dresser and not, the Garnier Fructis range has won by far!! I LOVE IT! 5 Stars because it’s great and it works!!!!

I am so happy I finally managed to try this hair mask out!! The smell is just amazing and it lingers on your hair for days! I love the fact that one product can be used in 3 different ways. From the first use ( after leaving on for 3 minutes) I was so impressed. I was afraid it would have that play-doh smell but it doesn’t. It feels luxurious and sits really well in your hair. You can use it three ways, as a mask, normal conditioner and leave in conditioner. I tend to use it as a mask once a week and it leaves my hair super soft and not weighed down. Pair this with the same coconut and macadamia shampoo and conditioner and you’re onto a winner.

Conditions and tames unruly hair

This product is great for my dry hair. At $12.00 it’s great value and a tub willl last me at least six months, I only need to use this once a week. It smells divine and is really easy to use in the shower, I just scoop it out and slather it on, leave for about ten minutes and rinse thoroughly. This is an intense conditioning treatment that leaves my hair super soft and shiny. I have very thick hair that is hard to tame and can get dry, it’s really hard to get it smooth and sleek. This garnier hair food smoothing macadamia for dry and unruly hair hydrates and helps with styling my hair, it leaves a nice shine and my hair feels really soft after styling. I love that it contains no silicons and parabens to weigh my hair down, it’s a great product that I would recommend

I have thick, coloured shoulder length hair that can be greasy at the roots and dry on the ends and prone to frizz. This conditioner leaves my hair feeling silky and soft.
I use this gorgeous smelling stuff every time I wash my hair, just as I would use a normal conditioner and it leaves my hair really manageable and in great condition without being weighed down.
I have used this as a mask and it is brilliant, I just don’t have the time to use it as a mask and prefer to use it as a normal conditioner.

I am quite lazy when it comes to drying my hair before bed. I usually wake up the next morning with curly, frizzy untamed hair. I used as just a conditioner as my hair is wavy but prone to getting greasy quite quickly especially when using any conditioning hair products. It's so lightweight you would not know you use a conditioner at all, my hair really shined and didnt feel the need to straighten it. Usually i have to wash my hair within a day of using a conditioner but it was day 3 until I needed to shampoo it. This really worked for me will definitely use again.

Great 3 in 1 hair mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product along with the shampoo and conditioner bundle and it has made and incredible difference in the condition of my hair. The leave in mask just added to the hydration and nourishment to my hair. It quickly detangles hair and can be used 3 ways which is fantastic. I love the smell of these products - just pure bliss. The ease of the tub to open and the instructions are easy to follow which ever way you wish to use your mask.
As with all Garnier products I am totally impressed with the way the products are made in carbon neutral factories, products are vegan and cruelty free and materials sourced seem to be 100% recyclable. I loved this product and totally recommend. I think these products are my new favourite and would definitely change over to these products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried three of the range now, and I'd say this is my favourite.
I've used banana, this, and gogi berry. They're all good, but this is the standout.
It's thick, but doesn't way your hair down when used as a leave in conditioner. It makes my hair soft, shiny and swishy.
As someone who bleaches her hair, you'd never know to touch it after I've used this.
It smells amazing too.
The lack of silicones is just perfect. It really feels like it's nourishing your hair instead of just coating it

Intensive hair rescue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved using the coconut and macadamia hair mask as I had really dry frizzy fly away hair so I tried this along with the shampoo and conditioner and it has been great my hair looks and feels so much better. I tried it as the hair mask leaving it on for 3 minutes then rinsed out and I also used it as an intensive treatment leaving it in overnight and washed off in the morning. I am continuing with it in my routine using it on a weekly basis as a mask. I have smooth soft shiny hair now and love it.

I love this product!
I use it as a conditioner, since using it my hair has never been softer and zero friz!
I cannot recommend this product enough
Best results come from air drying your hair (heartless) in my opinion

Love this mask!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I commend Garnier for striving to make their products as natural as possible. This mask has a delicious smell that reminds me of tropical holidays! It's not overwhelmingly coconutty like some others I have tried. The texture is really nice, it goes on smoothly and isn't too thick or gloopy. It made my hair super soft and smooth and I could feel a real difference. The only reason I've given it 4 not 5 is because it's not as detangling as some other masks, however I still love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this the first night I received the sample from Garnier and I have to say it's the best conditioner/hair mask I've ever tried! I absolutely love it! It smells amazing, my hair is silky smooth, so easily manageable and looks the most healthy it has done in years. I haven't unruly hair but it was become drab with dry ends and greasy roots; this has given my hair new life and I've received many a compliment in the last 2 week's of use. I apply this after every shampoo as a conditioner and rinse. I have used it once as a 3 minute hair mask and even my scalp felt better. I have yet to use this as a leave in conditoner though I'm sure it will be just as good as it is a regular conditioner. I will be purchasing another once this has run out and would even consider buying for friends and family.

Tamed my mane!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried a million different hair lotions and potions to try and tame my very thick, frizzy hair. I thought this would be no different. I was happily surprised! The mask smells delicious, after washing my hair I put this on in place of my usual conditioner. After rinsing, I noticed my hair already felt sleeker. After blow drying my hair, it normally looks massive, but it was already looking flatter and shinier. Once I had styled it, it felt so good! It stayed that way for ages!

Results are shown immediately after washing , my hair was left soft smooth and manageable . I love that this hair food can be used three ways so I can incorporate it into my routine with ease .
98 % of the ingredients in this come from a natural origin and is totally vegan too . The packaging is recyclable too !

As someone who is fighting a constant battle with my hair I can only rave about this!
The consistency was thick and creamy, it smelt divine and left my hair feeling beautiful and shiny.
It works great as a standard conditioner and even better as a mask!
It’s also good as a leave in but I suggest using small amounts to avoid product build up.
Overall it is one of the best I’ve used lately and will become a staple in my hair care routine!
