Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Treatment

Mariana S.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Treatment it is a good vegan product, I am not vegan but I have friends that are and definitely it is a product that I would indicated. I have been using Garnier Fructis Hair Food Watermelon Treatment for less than one month and already noticed that my hair is more softy and healthy. I have an only hair and I noticed that for me it was better to use as a leave-in instead of a conditioner. The product as a conditioner and a mask it is a okay product, for me the best use was as a leave-in. The smell, texture are great, I really like that it's 97% of natural origin and the generous sized jar of product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Smell incredible

Julia N.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smells incredible! It's quite a strong fruity watermelon scent when I use it and it leaves a subtle smell to my hair the few days after I've washed it. I used it as a conditioner. I left it in my hair for a few minutes after shampooing and then washed it out. The product is quite thick and a little goes a long way which is great. It felt nice and made my hair feel smooth as I was washing it, but after my hair gets quite dry and tangles really easily, so I don't think it is doing a lot for my hair's health. I usually use 100% natural products, so the fact this is mostly natural products is great! Garnier is taking a step in the right direction.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Smells Like a Watermelon Juice

Ellen A.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to L'oreal Elvive, this product has more natural smell and light texture. It really smells like a watermelon juice (only a little stronger) and it's vegan too! In the past, I used too many chemical products on my hair resulting it becomes a dry lump of haystack! Took me a while to find a good hair mask that doesn't do more damage to my hair. Hence I can say this product ticks that box. It's light, creamy, easily comes off but still leaves you that silky sensation at the end. I use this product 3 times a week as a hair mask, leave it there for good minute and rinse. You'll be surprised amongst all the Fructis line, this one is the winner!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Smell to die for

Olivia G.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Garnier's Hair food range for quite some time now and can I say I get so excited when they come out with a new flavour! The scent is honestly to die for I love the smell of watermelons and it isn't too sweet or artificial. It makes my fine and thin hair feel so soft and smell so fresh and like summer. I typically would use it after my conditioner and leave it on for up to 5 minutes whilst brushing through my hair with a wide-tooth comb and it leaves my hair feeling very silky once it has been blow-dried. I would definitely suggest this to someone who has thin/fine hair and needing a cheaper alternative for a hair mask.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fruity fresh!

Brooke F.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is perfect as a mask after your regular shampoo and conditioning. It only needs to be in for about a minute a makes a huge difference! It left my hair feeling so silky and smelling deliciously fruity. The packaging is very clear on what ingredients are used and whether they are from natural origin or not. I enjoyed reviewing this product as I just had a hair cut (after not having any regular cuts for 2 years!) and my hair really needed some TLC. I tried using the product as a conditioner and as a leave-in, but my favourite way to use it is as a mask, and definitely recommend if you are looking for something natural and for this use.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hair Food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I love the smell of this! It smells fresh and fruity. My hair is really fine but long so can get quite knotty when I wash it. I found when using this as a mask it really helped with the knots. I used this as a mask twice a week and really liked it. I also used this as a wash out conditioner and leave in conditioner on different occasions. I really enjoyed using it as a leave in conditioner as it smells divine and I had plenty of compliments. My hair had volume and was glossy when using this product. I didn't see results immediately but did after approximately my second time using it. Would I purchase this?? Absolutely!

Yes, I recommend this product.

It’s the scent for me

Sophia S.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, the smell of this treatment is AMAZING. A very strong fruity watermelon scent which you can still smell after you wash out and dry your hair. I love my hair smelling this delicious! My hair is colour treated so I like to use it as a mask after shampooing and conditioning for deep nourishment. My hair feels so silky and smooth after the treatment and doesn’t leave my hair feeling too oily which I have had problems with other products in the past. The only downside for me is the packaging, with acrylic nails I prefer a pump or squeeze bottle, as product will fill under my nails with the tub. All around a lovely product and would purchase again!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best Leave-in treatment!

Anonymous
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came just the right time I desperately needed something to work with my heavily damaged hair! I tried as a conditioner and mask, but found it to be best for leave-in treatment after shower for my hair. It makes my damaged hair looks healthy and manageable again! I have also encouraged my partner to try it and he loved it too, he says it does make hair lighter. With using it as a conditioner, it had the same effect as a normal hair conditioner, but as a mask it did make my hair felt lighter and bouncer after shower. I do recommend this product for anyone with damaged hair and nothing has worked to make it look healthy again

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am IN LOVE!!!! This hair mask / treatment smells delicious! It smells like a mixture of lollies, fairy floss, Ari perfume and a candy shop. After using the banana scent hair food for quite some time I was eager to try the watermelon scent. It is amazing. It makes my bathroom smell good too as an added bonus! This lovely product feels light and nourishing on my hair. It doesn't make my hair heavy or greasy. It has an invigorating scent. I just can't fault it! I will be recommending this product to friends and family and I will be adding it to gifts and presents for loved ones to trial! If you like swe're smelling hair, you will LOVE this product!!!!!!

Little goes a long way.

Shey T.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying a little goes a long way...the tiniest amount of this product made a huge difference with my fine usually frizzy & chlorine exposed hair. I used this product primarily as a hair mask after my shampoo & conditioner because I think it would be too heavy in my hair type as a leave in post shower. It always left my hair feeling super soft & shiny. The scent of this product is absolutely to die for & I found myself getting excited to wash my hair just to use it. Although I did not find it particularly volumising on my hair I would highly recommend this product for its value for money & for how it leaves my hair feeling & smelling.

Yes, I recommend this product.

For healthy looking hair

Angage P.

I had good experience with other Garnier hair food mask in the past. I'm happy with the results it gives for my dry hair. The packaging is simple large tub. It is thick, creamy consistency. But the smell not feel natural watermelon to me. This can use 3 different ways. This can use as conditioner, a mask or leave in. But my preferred way to use this is a leave in conditioner. I used small amount of it on my towel dried wet hair applied it mainly focusing mid lengths and ends. After using this watermelon hair food my hair feel softer, manageable and healthy looking with out weigh down. I would definitely buy this again and I love to try other range as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying the macadamia hair food shampoo & conditioner, I was excited to try this watermelon hair food mask. Since my hair is quite fine, I liked the volumising effect that it gave. It also smelt amazing! Another benefit is that it can be used 3 ways - as a conditioner if you’re in a bit of a rush and don’t have time for a leave in, a mask which you can leave in for one minute after shampoo and conditioner (which is also great as some masks recommend a lot longer) or using a small amount as a complete leave in. I would recommend this product to people that have fine hair or want to add a bit of volume to their hair

Ashleigh B.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this hair treatment mask. I love the smell and the natural ingredient claims of the product. I also have fine hair so knew it would be good for my hair type. The product is marketed as a conditioner, leave in treatment or hair mask. I tried using the product in each of these ways and to me it really just felt like a hair conditioner product. Leaving in did make my hair feel a little heavy and using as a conditioner and treatment it felt like a regular conditioner. I can recommend as a strong conditioner (although not an ideal container for in-shower use), but not overly effective as anything else. I will continue to use but wont repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened it, the smell was amazing. Smelts like watermelon lollipops. The container design was great and catchy. I used it in the shower after my shampoo. I didn't put any conditioner in my hair after my shampoo, I just applied the Watermelon Treatment. After leaving it for a few mins I washed it wash, then out out to dry my hair. My hair smelt great, felt so smooth and soft, but I did notice it made it more oily than normally. On the tub it says volumising . I was expecting my fair to be more fluffy and flat. but overall for a treatment to make your hair more soft on days your hair is dry as sand then its great. Great smell I would recommend it for sure!

Amazing mask

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this hair mask! The watermelon smell is delicious and reminds me of something sweet but doesn’t make my hair smell overly sweet. I have used this as a conditioner and a hair mask, however haven’t used it as a leave in (although I’ve heard amazing things about using it as a leave in). Every time I use it my hair feels super soft, smells amazing, and it gives it some additional volume and bounce, it to mention removes any knots or tangles that might be in there. I have loved using this and will definitely continue as it makes my fine hair a little more voluminous. I also love that it’s cruelty free!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment I opened the bottle, the refreshing watermelon scent transported me to summer—it’s light and invigorating, making my shower feel like a treat. The shampoo lathers beautifully and is gentle yet effective at cleansing my hair without stripping away moisture. What really impressed me is how it plumps up my fine hair. After just a few washes, my hair feels noticeably fuller and has great volume without feeling weighed down. It’s like my strands have been given a boost of life! I also appreciate that it’s formulated with nourishing ingredients, which help keep my hair soft and manageable. Even after drying, my hair feels smooth and looks shiny, not frizzy.

An amazing leave in treatment for frizzy hair

Bianca R.

I have just finished my first tub of this amazing watermelon hair food treatment and can say that I love it and will be purchasing another one. I like to use this as a leave in treatment for my hair after washing as it helps control frizz and dryness. Only a small scoop on a finger is needed and it smells so fruity and yummy. I've found my hair to be easier to manage as their is less frizz and it's smoother and extra shiny too. The tub lasted me many months and the price is very affordable and is often in sale. It's value for money and I love how my hair looks and feels when I use this mask as a leave in treatment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After already trialling the shampoo and conditioner that is part of this range, I was looking forward to trying this product. The smell is lovely and makes using the mask a nice experience. I have fine hair so I’m pretty hesitant to use hair masks as they usually leave my hair pretty oily. This mask left my hair feeling soft and smelling lovely, however, my hair got oily pretty quick. I appreciate the versatility of this product and decided to use it purely as a conditioner. Overall, I liked this product but as I have quite fine hair and this mask ended up making my hair oilier, I would not repurchase this product.

Smells like watermelon – that’s about it

Erica M.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the 3 in 1 feature is a little confusing – the conditioner and hair mask work effectively however I did find that my hair wasn’t as smooth as when using my normal conditioner. I also didn’t find that it was very effective in giving me more volume. In terms of the smell I can see how some people would like it but I personally found it really overpowering and almost a fake watermelon smell. Personally I wouldn’t purchase it myself but I do think that maybe for people who had thick, curly hair this would be a suitable product. Plus the size of the product is very generous so I do feel as though its good value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say about this except, another amazing product in the Ultimate Blends Hair food range. I use their conditioners every time I wash my hair, replacing only once fortnightly for a deeper condition using Vatika brand hair masks. For a daily (or every time you wash your hair-ly) conditioner, I cannot recommend the Ultimate Blends range enough. Free of plastics and other nasties, and completely natural apart from a few vital ingredients, I know my hair thanks me whenever I coat it in a generous layer of any of the range. This watermelon sinks in so nicely into my fine hair and smells divine. Love love love!

A little goes a long way

Beth S.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the fact that the pot is HUGE, and a little goes a long way so it will definitely last a while. It was clearly stated on the pot how to use the product - either as a conditioner, leave in conditioner or a hair mask, so naturally I had to try all three!! The product smells so good, you almost want to eat it, and the scent lingers in your hair for the rest of the day. The pot states that the ingredients are 97% naturally derived which is great as you know you won't have any unwelcome chemicals damaging your hair. My hair felt softer but more voluminous after use and that, combined with the gorgeous smell means I would definitely recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big thanks to Beauty Crew and Garnier for including me in this trial. For reference, I have super fine hair / shoulder length and it’s super dry. The product smells divine, of course you must love watermelon to love the scent but because I do it’s grand. The product itself I found super nourishing and hydrating. I will definitely continue using it long after this trial ends. My only gripe is that I hate the container it’s in as it makes it so easy for contamination and it’s actually too big. I wish they made them 50% of this size as I will never be able to finish this container which makes it feel wasteful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Garnier hair food claims to be 98% of natural origin and to not contain any: parabens, silicones, or artificial colourants. The label also says it can be used as a conditioner, a mask, or as a leave-in treatment. I was really pleased to see that it is vegan and this definitely made me want to try the product. I really liked the product and it has a pleasant watermelon scent! It is easy to apply; all you have to do is dip your hands into it, scoop out some product, and massage it into your hair. It rinses out well too. I have fine, dry hair. I have used this as a mask after my conditioner and it has been leaving my hair feeling intensely hydrated, softer and smoother looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this conditioner as I am always looking to add more volume to my fine hair. The product is thick and creamy and comes in a squeezable bottle with a flip cap. The product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and the packaging is recyclable , which is gratifying. The conditioner did actually seem to add body to my hair, but I am afraid to say I found the fragrance overpowering with a very unpleasant perfume. I realise perfume is a very personal thing but this was awful. I would definitely try another conditioner in the range but only after I had checked the fragrance beforehand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this! The smell is divine and my hair is soft and luscious. I tried it in all the recommended ways and my favourite is definitely the mask. My hair stayed soft for days, super shiny and just amazing. So many people commented on how great it looked and anyone getting close enough loved how great it smells. It seemed to strengthen my hair and brushing & styling was a breeze. Silky smooth but still held a style nicely. I’ll be using this as a weekly mask going forward as it’s definitely worth it. My hair hasn’t looked and felt this good in a very long time and I usually use some very expensive products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This performed pretty well on my very long hair (unable to get it cut due to Covid, and is now past hip length, which wasn't my intention!) As my hair is fairly dry (both naturally and due to its length) I wasn't expecting too much, but this conditioner performed quite well. I do need a more intensive conditioner personally, but for anyone with less dry, or shorter hair, I think this would work very well. It smelled quite nice (might be an acquired taste for some, as it's quite a strong scent) and the consistency was good. I think I did notice my hair feeling a tiny bit fuller, maybe that's something that will improve with continued use, so I will be interested to monitor that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this hair food. Smells divine and leaves hair so soft and shiny. Only need a small amount worked through the hair and left on for a couple of minutes and it works it’s magic. No irritation or greasiness, and such a generous sized tub of product. Easy to dispense as you can get your fingers into the tub, no squeezing of bottles to get som out and if you get too much you can put some back. Would definitely be using this after trial has ended and highly recommend this product. The packaging is an easy open tub where you can get every last bit out which is very important, excellent value for money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this for a trial and has been using it 3-4 times a week for about 3 weeks now. I have used it as a hair conditioner and mask but not as a leave-in. The mask has a soft creamy texture and smells wonderful (like watermelon lollies). I have thin fine hair and my hair does feel soft and smooth instantly after each use, however I didn’t find it add much volume to my hair as the product claimed. I would say the result is comparable to other hair products of the same price range I have used before. Overall, a pretty good hair conditioner and mask that doesn’t cost a fortune.

I used the hair food product as conditioner after shampooing and left it in as a mask for a few minutes before washing it out. It left my hair feeling very soft and detangled! It also left my hair spelling beautiful! I love the watermelon scent. It would be suitable for people with dry or damaged hair as it is extremely nourishing! It is a very good price for the amount of product you get within the tub and quite cheap for the great quality of the product. I have quite long and curly hair so it gets quite knotty but I only used quite a small amount when I used it as conditioner and it worked well. Will be using it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other granite hair food products so I was keen to give this volumising one a try. This worked great for my thin hair, I mainly used it as a conditioner and treatment while in the shower. It definitely left my hair with more body to it! This product has the typical fructis smell you get with all its products, strong and powerful. But once washed out nice and subtle hints of it in your hair as I only used it at at tips of my hair. Afterwards it left my hair feeling super soft and silky when used as both the conditioner and treatment. I did try to use it as a leave in mask but I preferred the convenience of just leaving it in the shower and using it there. But that’s just my laziness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a sample, and loved it from the first time I used it! It’s quite a large tub, so you really get your money’s worth. It smells fantastic, with the smell mimicking a watermelon candy. I noticed even after just two uses that my hair had more volume and bounce, and felt smooth and silky as well. Because I use my straightener quite often, my hair is prone to heat damage, which is why I’m so happy with how healthy my hair feels after using Garnier’s hair food. Because it is a Garnier product, I didn’t expect anything less. Highly recommend, definitely give this a go!

I did read and compare the ingredients from this treatment to the watermelon hair food conditioner and they are almost identical ingredients. So it is basically conditioner. and so my hair didn't feel or look any different using this product to if I wasn't. I did try using it in the three different ways and wasn't impressed. There isn't any noticeable volume. It's not a treatment!

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to start this review by saying this product smells absolutely wonderful (so fruity!) and who wouldn't want their hair smelling amazing. Some hair masks can leave your hair feeling a bit heavy or oily but this left my hair feeling quite light and fresh. Overall I wouldn't say that it made a really significant difference to the damage in my hair but it was nice for controlling and my hair and making it feel soft. I would recommend this for anyone that loves a good scent, is looking for an affordable product and doesn't hair overly dry or damaged hair that needs a lot of work.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I quite liked this product. I did use try it all 3 ways (conditioner, hair mask or leave in treatment) and I definately prefer it as a mask after conditioning. My hair felt great afterwards and smelled amazing! I have quite fine hair and found that it wasn’t SUPER volumizing but added just a nice amount of volume. I used it as the mask only about once a week or once a fortnight, depending on the condition of my hair at the time and found that to be enough for me to achieve results. I also really liked that it was cruelty free and fully vegan. It’s nice to see that big beauty companies are now going in this direction as it is something that I value and try to use cruelty free products whenever possible

Yes, I recommend this product.

For watermelon lovers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's start with the scent of this hair treatment, it smells like a sweet delicious juicy watermelon. This is a 3 ways use hair treatment that can be used as conditioner, hair mask and leave-in conditioner. I have used this hair treatment for few weeks now and tested out all 3 ways. I love to use it as conditioner and hair mask because immediately after use my hair definitely feels hydrated, very smooth and silky. However, I didn't enjoy using this hair treatment as leave-in conditioner because it weights down my hair. Also, it leaves slight greasiness if applied to clean dry hair. All-in-all, it's a great hair treatment for it's price point. Love the scent and great to use as conditioner and hair mask.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product smells incredibly amazing. I love the fact that it is almost all natural and 98% biodegradable too. The product label suggests that it has three uses. It can be used as a leave in conditioner, regular conditioner or as treatment. I am happy to use this product as treatment and regular conditioner but I don’t like the way it works as leave in conditioner and it leaves the hair a bit clumsy. Other than that it does a fine job as a conditioner and made hairs look so soft and smooth. I would definitely recommend it to try and see how it makes a difference in your routine.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great, it applies well and smells nice. The product is very multi-use, it can be used as a leave in conditioner or as a hair mask by itself. The product packaging is easy to use and the product is easy to apply. The best thing about the product is the fact that there isn’t one way to use it, it can be used in a number of different ways. The product smells nice and is in packaging that can be easily identifiable and easy to read. Overall, the product works great and fits well into the Garnier Hair Food line alongside the other Garnier Watermelon Hair Food products.

Yes, I recommend this product.
