Terrible for my hair

I bought this when I needed to replace my original Garnier Fructis Oily Roots and Dry Ends shampoo because it was no longer available (so years ago, now). The first wash wasn't good, and the subsequent couple of washes didn't improve. My hair was like string, and I threw out the rest of the bottle.
Clearly some change in the ingredients but I don't understand why it created such a drastic difference. Have never tried it since and didn't bother with the conditioner. I'd give 0 stars if it was possible. Very very disappointing as this type of shampoo is not made by many companies and is the only type I can use.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The bottle doesn't lie. This shampoo gives you oily roots and dry ends. Even more oily and more dry than my hair was before i started using it. I've used it 4 times thinking my hair just needed to get used to it but it's just been getting worse

Absolutly desroyed my hair, had to end up stripping my hair and conditioning it with a better product. Ended up having dryer and yet still greasy hair.

I have curly/wavy very thick, coarse hair. The ends of my hair are always dryer than my scalp so I gave this shampoo a go. I wasn't a very big fan. It dried my hair out worse than it was before. I thought with consistent use there might be a difference but it still constantly dried it out with each wash. There was no relief for my dry ends. On the plus side the smell is wonderful and it is reasonably priced. I just think perhaps my hair may not suit this product. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone with thick, curly/wavy hair.

Almost 3/4 through the bottles of shampoo and conditioner all ive gained is an itchy scalp and double ear infection. My skin and hair not a fan of this shampoo which is laced unnecessary perfume. Moving on to a more natural product.

I must say, I adore the delicious, fruity scents that garnier so often uses, but I really couldn't stand this shampoo. The label promised me everything I had been wanting and needing for so long. I get an awfully oily scalp, so I was so excited to try this! Unfortunately, I was left with quite sticky feeling hair. Yes, it initially felt clean, but it just didn't feel... right. It felt like I hadn't even washed it out, even though I had scrubbed at my hair. Cue the oil flood. I don't know what is in this, but it just felt so artificial and chemical-y. It really disagreed with my hair, which seemingly tried to fight back by producing even more oil by the day's end. I switched to Herbal Essences Drama Clean, which has worked better for me. It might work on someone who has a minor oil problem. It's cheap, so it's worth a try.

I must admit I was a little hesitant to try this as I haven't had much success with previous Garnier shampoos.\nThis one though had to be tried as it sounded like it was made for me! And at the low price of these products ,wasnt a huge loss if it was a failure.\nI am a huge fan of the scent of Garnier shampoos and conditioners. So sweet ,pleasant and fruity and the smell lasts in hair. This had the classic Garnier scent.\nThe shampoo itself was a light ,fluidy texture that lathered up well with a small amount.\nMy hair felt fresher, cleaner and quite soft after use. This wasnt at all drying and did keep my oil at bay for longer than usual which meant I could go a day or two without washing my hair again.\nId recommend this to anyone with oily roots and dry ends. Its not life changing but it does do what it claims and at the affordable price, its worth seeing if it works for you :)\n

It's the first time that my hair actually feels and looks healthy, clean and soft at the same time. Amazing results just by using the shampoo only.
