More FAQs on Garnier BB Creams

What is a BB cream?

BB cream combines the benefits of a moisturiser and a foundation in one product. It is typically used to even out skin tone and provide hydration. Unlike a foundation, which is designed to cover up blemishes, BB cream is meant to improve the appearance of the skin. In addition to providing coverage, Garnier's BB cream contains SPF to protect the skin from the sun's harmful rays. It can be used in place of a foundation or primer, or as a daily moisturiser. While it is most commonly used on the face, BB cream skincare can also be applied to the neck and chest. BB cream is an increasingly popular cream option because it provides all-in-one coverage and protection. Our BB Cream Even Tone in Medium is an all-in-1 perfector that is great for daily use

How to apply BB cream?

Applying BB cream is simple and only takes a few minutes. First, cleanse your face with a gentle face cleanser and pat dry. Next, take a small amount of BB cream in your palm and warm it up by rubbing your hands together. Then, using your fingertips, apply the BB cream evenly over your face. Start with your forehead and work your way down to your chin. For best results, use a setting powder or setting spray to help set the BB cream in place.

Can BB cream replace a moisturiser?

If you have oily skin, a BB cream may be able to replace your moisturiser as well as can act as your primer and a light foundation. Garnier's BB creams are designed to hydrate the skin whilst also providing a natural looking coverage through its fine mineral pigments. But if you have normal to dry skin, you may want to apply an additonal layer of moisturiser before your BB cream. Our BB cream skincare also contain SPF to protect you against the sun, preventing dark spots and premature ageing. Learn more about the benefits of BB cream

Does BB cream cover up acne?

BB cream provides skin coverage while also concealing blemishes such as acne. Unlike foundation, which can sometimes clog pores and aggravate acne, BB cream is light and non-comedogenic, meaning it will not clog pores or cause breakouts. In addition, BB cream skincare often contains ingredients that help to soothe and protect the skin, making it an ideal choice for those with reactive or sensitive skin. Garnier's BB Cream Oil Free In Medium contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and is lightweight in texture, making it great for acne prone skin.

What is the difference between BB and CC cream?

BB cream, or beauty balm, is a type of moisturiser that offers light coverage for a natural look. BB creams have the benefits of a foundation, moisturiser and sunscreen, making it perfect for daily use - it also can be used on different skin types including dry skin or oily skin. Whilst a CC cream, or color correcting cream, is a type of foundation that provides medium coverage and can help to even out the skin tone, a good choice for those with redness or blemishes that you want covered up. In terms of texture, BB cream is usually lighter and more sheer than CC cream.
