Ive been using this now for a week and i have recently been having a few breakouts that haven't been going away. Honestly after a couple of days of using this i noticed my skin was looking alot clearer and after a week its completely cleared my blemishes, i was very impressed with the results. You get a really good size bottle and only have to use a tiny amount for it to clean your whole face so it will last you ages and when you wash your face with it you get that super vlean tingly feeling which i personally love. I will definitely be gwttjng this again.

I had oily skin with a few blackheads and a very noticeable blemish that I have been trying to get rid off for a few months. Since start using the cleaner the blemish is almost gone, I saw a reduction in the amount of blackheads and my skin looks brighter, cleaner and healthier! The product is very easy to use, it is initially black but once rubbed into the skin it becomes a white foam that comes off easily. I would recommend it to family and friends!!

Left my skin feeling refreshed and cleaned. Only need small amount and it lathers well. It has a cooling effect which feels great after use. It does not leave charcoal mark. Only thing is, my face feels tight a bit after use but in a good way. I think I need moisturizer after use. I would definitely recommend this product to others and is quite affordable. It is a great exfoliator for my body, it really helps with body odours. The smell is nice, sort of masculine. The bottle is massive so great value for money. I definitely wouldn't use it on my face daily but maybe one a week or something like that, it works very well to get sebaceous filaments and blackheads out. Though again, be careful if you have sensitive skin, my skin is oily so I thought it'd be fine but I definitely experienced some irritation and dry patches.

The bottle is a good sized amount and will last ages but is very narrow and I found it difficult to stand and pump in the shower without it falling over or needing to be held.
The black colour was a little off putting at first but I was fine after the initial surprise.
The wash felt lovely on my skin and seems to keep blackheads away like it suggests.
However the chemical/bleach like smell is very strong and confronting. I never got used to the odour.
I also got a sty while completing the trial, unsure if it is related but I'd never had one before.

It lather up really well even with the tiniest amount and left my face feeling clean. I personally like the scent but it may be too much for other people. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and I can honestly say my skin looks amazing. My face honestly hasn’t had any blemishes since using this cleanser. A little goes a long way and I usually only need to use one pump. It foams up incredibly well and feels nice and fresh on my skin. The menthol in the cleansing cream is invigorating and with such a clean aroma. It removed my makeup easily and left my face clean and smooth. Tingly charcoal face wash

In terms of cleansing I did feel clean after it and found my face improved with less blemishes, however I also found it dried out my skin a lot. At first I did break out it more pimples though but after a few weeks it stabilised.
The fragrance is extremely overbearing and it felt like I was sick and sticking Vicks up my nose every time I washed my face. I also found the tingling sensation and the colour unnatural and off putting. If the colour is natural from the charcoal that is fine but it looked enhanced and not natural.
The ingredients claim to biodegradable which may be true but further information on the website would be appreciated as it seems like a statement thrown in to greenwash and there is no evidence of it being. The QR code sent me to the website which had no additional info then what was on the bottle.

Although this is a good face wash and its really easy to use I honestly didn't notice a difference to my blackheads. I think maybe prolonged use might show better use, however saying that my esthetician told me its pointless using a face wash/ cleanser with active ingredients is pointless because its not on the skin long enough to do anything.

Anti-Blackhead BHA Charcoal Daily Face Cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Garnier anti-blackhead BHA Charcoal face cleanser works well as a daily cleanser to cleanse my face of oil, dirt, impurities and make up. The product came in a bottle with a pump dispenser which made it easy to access to the product. It has a nice lightweight texture and has a pleasant scent, which isn’t that strong or overpowering, and with just a small amount needed, it foams up nicely, enough for my whole face and it feels very gentle on my skin, and rinses off well with ease. It did not make my skin feel irritated or break me out, and it did not leave my skin feeling dry and tight after use. My skin felt deeply clean, refreshed and my skin looked mattified. My face also felt soft, smooth and hydrated, and it has also helped to reduce the appearances of blackheads, pores and blemishes so my skin looks more clearer and healthier looking.

initial thoughts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only used this product for a week so this is only my initial thoughts.
First, it didn't cause me any new breakouts for the time being.
The bottle is easy to use and I would say its a good design for a face wash as you dont need to touch anything elae after pushing the top and getting the face wash onto your palm.
After using the product, it feels like my face is thoroughly cleansed but it can be a little drying if you have normal skin.

Cooling and decongesting

I've recently been trialling this cleansing and it works wonders for my skin type. It's not only cleared up my breakouts but it's prevented more from coming up and also it has begun to improved my congested large pores. It has a light cooling minty scent and lathers very well. It is a black coloured gel that rinses off easily without leaving any black behind on my skin. My skin is left feeling very fresh, awakened and super clean.

Good product and makes my skin feel clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product comes out of the bottle looking black which maybe off-putting to some. But it doesn’t leave any residue and makes my face feel really clean. It has a refreshing smell. Nothing to dislike about this. I have not noticed a discernible reduction in blackheads in my oily mature skin but I happened to say that I liked the product and it promptly disappeared to my teenage son’s bathroom. No complaints from him either.
Yes, I recommend this product.
