I must say, I was disappointed. Although this mask does come off quite easily, it is still a bit painful to take off (for those with sensitive skin - stay away). Once you get past the pain, your skin does feel smooth, but did it remove blackheads? I don't think so. I was hoping it to work like a pore strip but unfortunately, it does not. \n\nI have not had success with many peel-off products and they are often an unpleasant experience. This was not the worst one I have tried but still, I will probably not be continuing to use this one. If you like products that are a bit of a gimmick you might enjoy it, but otherwise, probably don't bother. \n

I was excited to try this peel off mask, thinking I would clear my nose. My nose has a build up of oil from using sunscreen daily and I can see the pores have sebum in them. I made the mistake of buying and trialing this charcoal peel off mask. I think there is something to do with the charcoal that I have reacted to but my skin was red and inflamed. I used once and then had to give it away to a friend. I now did not buy anything with charcoal in it. I avoid charcoal and have to read the back of products for an ingredients list.
The black flip top bottle does stand out. It was easy to spot on my bathroom vanity when I was looking for it to give to my friend.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I really enjoyed using the Garnier Pure Active Charcoal mask! I thought it worked great. After using is for two weeks I saw a noticeable difference in the amount and the severity of my black heads. The mask was easy to apply, it did however take a while to dry (30 minutes). It was also great how the mask did not hurt to peel off, but once you peeled it off you could see the blackheads that had come out onto the mask. I've used pore strips before, but this product definitely works much better and is much less painful! \n\nI would definitely buy it again, the price is great for how many applications you get and the product did what it says. Now my skin looks great! \n

I used this product a few times over the trial period, I did notice that you have to use a lot of product to apply enough to be able to peel the mask off. I did see that the mask did clean pull out some 'gunk' from my skin not sure if it was blackheads or just excess skin. My skin did feel smoother after use, however I did fine that my skin was definitely red and a bit sore after removing the mask which I was surprised about as I have oily skin and I've never experience sensitivity to skin products before. I think I'll just be sticking to using an exfoliator which gives me the same clean and smooth feeling skin.

Wasn’t a huge fan of this one. As a couple of the reviews have stated, in order for the product to adhere properly and to ensure you can rip it off easily you need to be liberal in your application. This isn’t a huge issue in and of itself, however personally I’m not a huge fan of the smell of this product and more product means more smell. \n\nIn terms of packaging, the squeeze bottle is a great dispenser for this kind of liquid. It doesn’t leak out and seals well. \n\nAfter ripping off the mask, I did notice that the skin on my nose felt softer however I wasn’t sure how much it had done for my blackheads. \n

This product is a thick black gel that is easily spread onto the face. You have to wait 15-20 mins until it dries completely, then it peels of very easily in one go with very little pain. The skin feels smooth and tight immediately after use. While it's very easy to use, after 6 uses I didn't notice any difference to my pores or blackheads. I have large pores on my cheeks which didn't appear to tighten, and smaller blackheads around my nose which remain the same. However, my boyfriend has very large congested blackheads on his nose and it did seems to clean them out a little bit. This product may be more suited to severe blackheads, though there are a tonne of other products that work much better.

Blackheads is one of the issues with my skin and I am all for an affordable product to control this. This product is pretty good at reducing it and the peeling is fun. Any spots that don't peel off wash off easily. I love the fresh and fruity scent as well. Using a thicker or thinner (but not too thin) layer doesn't make a difference with reducing blackheads and doesn't make my skin feel tight or dry either. My skin felt clean and refreshed straight after using the mask with improved skin clarity and reduction in blackheads but nothing too dramatic - a good cleanser is still needed.

I have been using this mask 2 times a week and notice my skin would feel nice and soft after each use. I have very oily skin so I found that it soaked up all the excess oils. It did however need a thick layer to to be able to peel of the mask with ease. I also found it took a bit longer then 30 minutes to dry. I has quite a strong scent which I didn't mind but may not attract to everyone. I noticed a minimal difference in my pores if at all over the weeks that I used it which was a little disappointing however its a fun product to apply so I will continue to keep trying it.

I have used this product a handful of times now on my problem areas like my chin and my nose and it has removed only a tiny amount of blackheads. The product is quite goopy and thick, but it actually goes on quite thin once dry. Layering the product is recommended but it will take at least 25 mins to dry - which is not too bad if you're just watching TV or doing some housework. \nIt also has a really strong chemical smell so if you're sensitive to odours this isn't the product for you.\nI would actually recommend this product to remove some dry skin patches on your face, not so much for the removal of blackheads. My skin felt smooth and soft after using. A bonus is that its not excruciating to peel off either.\n

I've tried this product a few times now, but am still yet to master it. The packaging is easy to use, which I love, but it order to be able to peel the mask off, you need to use a considerable amount of product at a time, which feels a little wasteful. And as some others have stated, the smell isn't exactly pleasant. I notice the mask does remove a small amount of gunk, I think it's mainly just dry skin, but have never had the satisfying blackhead bumps as every one on the ads seem to. I wouldn't repurchase as I don't notice any real difference in my skin after use.

This worked a lot better than I initially thought it would! The application was smooth and easy, and it applied in an even layer. It also felt very cooling on the skin and didn't super tighten my skin. From experience with other blackhead masks, this dried fairly quickly in comparison. It came off surprisingly well - all in a single piece, which obviously maximized the impact of the peel. I have very little to no blackheads at the moment, so can't judge it in that regard but it clung to my skin well enough to pick up some sebum and whiteheads. My only criticism of it is that once it comes off, it does irritate the skin a little bit and could probably have more grip to make sure it gets in deep to pull out the blackheads.

i’ve never used a peel off mask before but have always wanted to, the Garnier charcole peel off mask is really easy to apply, i used a flat foundation brush, it does have a bit of a strong smell while applying but ince it starts drying, that goes away. the only thing about this mask is that you do need to put it on pretty thick to make it easy to peel off, otherwise it’s a very slow process! i used this in my T zone and found that it definitely cleared and unclogged some of the pores on my nose. \n\ni really liked this mask and will continue using it! \n

I’m a bit disappointed in the product, though previous experience with similar products kept my expectations relatively low with hopes I’d be pleasantly surprised. The product size is quite small in comparison to other products which is a good thing in my opinion, however the price tag is a lot more than I would have expected. The smell is a fresh masculine scent which I enjoy though in this product it’s quite strong especially when the product sits around your nose for quite along time so after a small while it wasn’t too pleasant to wear. The mask itself seemed to have zero affect at removing blackheads but did a good job at lifting away dead skin, however the trade off when considering the pain and price isn’t really worth it.

This mask is a thick, black gel that spreads quite easily and suprisingly had a pleasant smell but it was a bit messy due to the stickiness and dark colour. Left it on for 15-20 minutes until it dried and then peeled it away without any issues or pain. However I did not see that much change in my pores or appearance of my skin. \n\nOverall I found this product average. I think there are plenty of similar (and perhaps better) products out there but it is not the worst I've ever used. Good for a girly night in or to terrify your partner with.

Blackheads are a huge issue of mine and I have tried many of these charcoal peel off masks before and found them very gimmicky. The thick product is hard to spread evenly and always dries in patches. This mask was hard to place but instantly had this relaxing cooling effect which felt incredible. But it was a 30-minute wait for it to dry…however it peeled off with minimal ease and removed *some* blackheads. It was an okay mask but probably wouldn’t reach for again, maybe it would be better if someone had less stubborn blackheads? \n

I found that applying quite a few layers of this really helped so that when it dried it made it easier to take off. It peeled off so easily. I found this product great to use. It left my pores clearer and skin softer throughout the trial. The product itself has quite a strong smell, which I actually didn’t mind. I used it on my nose and chin where I found it really effective at removing any excess oil or dirt trapped. Would recommend to anyone with blackheads/heads that won’t seem to surface! A great affordable price also.

This product is more or less what I'd expect from a drugstore peel off mask.
I did preference it to others due to it containing salicylic acid and my intention to use it to spot treat my skin.
It seems to do a decent job and assisting in cleaning my skin, as you'd expect from any other peel off mask or mild pore strip.
My issue is that I can't find, anywhere, information on the percentage of active salicylic acid used?
Amounts aren't mentioned on the tube, box or website. I would consider this a pretty big red flag, especially since people using other actives on their skin may end up with irritation.
In summary, I would love more information on the active ingredients. The lack of obvious transparency makes me hesitant to implement this product into my routine.

Received this mask to trial out. First impressions, the packaging of the mask is good that you are able to control how much product you want to squeeze out.\nApplication of the mask itself, I had to use a fair bit of product to cover my whole face as I usual like to apply these peel off mask across my whole face. I did have difficulty pulling the mask likes others as I applied a thin layer. But in say that, I was able to get off some blackheads and dead skin. \nEnd result, my skin felt a little softer than before, 3/5 \n

From the majority of previous reviews it’s clear to see that the product sits somewhere in the middle ground of performance. You need to apply a thick layer to be able to peel it off, and it is rather messy. The results are nothing great, but then again I’ve never been impressed with any ‘blackhead peel’ that I’ve used. One positive I can give it is that it did not irritate my sensitive skin. But other than that, the product only gets a so-so from me. I’ll use the remainder of this tube, but would not repurchase.

This product was easier to use compared to other blackhead peeling masks I have tried, I didn't think it was too thick and it applied fairly evenly. However, it did take longer to dry than expected (approx 30 mins), maybe because I put too much on but I didn't think there was too much. It also wasn't as effective at getting the blackheads out as I would like so I probably wouldn't use this again, but it might work better for people if they have more blackheads/less stubborn blackheads they are trying to target.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I really love it!! I even tested on the hubby too, who gave it the tick of approval! The product has a very ocean fresh smell to it, which is quite strong but not unpleasant. It’s very cooling on the skin, it goes on easily, and using the finger to apply, apply to the tzone fairly generously (but make sure it’s really even to maximise the products ability) the product should be left to dry completely (which is about 20-30 mins depending how thick the application is). Once dried you can now remove slowly and carefully with no pain. And if you turn what you’ve pulled off you’ll be able to see what’s been removed from your skin.. significantly reduced blackheads, minimised pores and left your skin feeling really soft

This mask is great for multi-masking! After a few uses this mask removes most of my blackheads/ whiteheads from my nose without leaving my skin feeling stripped or dry. \nI would recommend to use this mask after a hot shower or streaming your face prior to give a “spa-like” effect at home. This mask is even great to shape the top of your brow hairs! \nOne downside to this mask is that it has a long dry time, I would recommend to leave this mask on for 20-30 minutes particularly when applying a thick layer. \n

I’ve been using this mask for over 2 weeks now. It comes in a good size squeeze tube for easy use and has a fair amount of product for multiple applications. The formula had a slight thick side to it, so applying a small amount is necessary, it does spread out well onto the skin. I felt as though it helped remove some blackheads, leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft. The peel isn’t but harsh on the skin and doesn’t have any pain whatsoever. I personally enjoyed using it and did get some great results

I initially tried this product with a thinner layer, and it was not as effective, and difficult to peel off, however once I applied a thicker layer, across my t-zone focusing on nose and chin, I noticed a quite a bit of ‘gunk’ being pulled off my nkse, including blackheads. I would say this product was similar to a nose strip, however it felt smoother across my skin, and also not as aggressive to pull off. I would recommend this product, but also to be used in conjunction with an exfoliant.

When I received this peel of mask I thought it would be like all of the other ones I have tried. Normally they just end up ripping out hairs instead of blackheads. I like to use this mask after the shower, I found that the thicker I put it on the more blackheads I got out. I let it dry for about 30 minutes but I found the longer you leave it to dry the better it works. I will probably still stick to pore strips because that’s what I find works best for me, but this is a good alternative.

Have been using this product for nearly two weeks, twice every week and have noticed a small but noticeable difference in the amount of sebum I get on my nose. It's a lot better than some of the other peel off masks in the market as this one is gentle yet effective, so satisfying seeing those little white heads come out! Would recommend this to people with combo/oily skin or find that they have black and whiteheads on their nose or chin. Will be continuing to use this product!

I love blackhead peel off masks so I was super excited when I got my hands on this one! I applied a pretty thick layer onto my nose, forehead and chin, and this made it a lot easier to peel off. My skin felt really clean and refreshed straight after using the mask. After a few weeks I definitely noticed a slight change in the size of my pores but nothing too drastic. I would definitely still recommend this mask as it is such an affordable price and definitely did help pores.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I am unsure if I like it.. I used this mask on my nose only as i found it left my skin feeling quite tight and dry. The mask smells really nice and goes on smoothly, however it does take ages to dry. Blackheads are a major skin concern for me so I am constantly looking for ways to remove them, I have tried strips, masks and self heating products and I think I will return to my previous product for better results.

I've been using this three times a week for two weeks now and have noticed a large difference in the amount of pores I get on my nose and my t zone. One thing I really enjoyed about this mask was how easy it was to peel off and didn't feel like it was ripping my skin out at the same time. I have combo and sensitive/acne prone skin and found this to be perfect mask for getting rid of those impurities on my t zone. I will be continuing to use this and recommend to my family!

This was my first time using a peel off mask, but I have to say I was a little disappointed. I have combination to oily skin with a lot of blackheads. The product was easy to apply, and also very easy to remove, and I very much enjoyed the fresh cooling effect that it had on my skin. However, I found very minimal blackhead removal and also it resulted in my skin becoming more oily in the T-zone. Would probably recommend to individuals with perhaps dry to combination skin.

I have used this mask 4 times since I got it. You need to use a lot of the product because it only works when I put on a thick layer of the mask on my face. I used a think layer in the first time and it was really hard to peel the mask off. I almost couldn't peel it. I had to wash off the mask which was not the point of the mask. I thought I just misused the mask, so the second time I tried, I put much thicker layer on and see if that works. It definitely peeled better the second time and I could see some whitehead picked out from my skin. However, I didn't like how much product that I needed to use at once. I could see some whitehead on the peeled mask, but I didn't think I would buy this because it gets quite messy. When I could buy the nose strips for probably cheaper price and don't have to wash my hand afterwards.

I quite enjoyed this mask as its something a little different for me.\nBlackheads aren't my main skin concern so in that sense it was hard to gage whether this product was effective.\nI did like however once it peeled off that it felt like the surface oil had been taken off my skin, but in a good way, not a dry feeling.\nIt is important to follow the instructions but because I was greedy the first go and did most of my face and it was an absolute paid to remove.\n\n

So I have used this products a few times after receiving it. I have a lot of blackheads on my nose so that was my main focus. So I used a hot steamed towel and apply it around nun noise to help open up the pours and let it dried for a bit then I aplied the product. After it dried I peeled it off and saw A little difference.. the peeling off wasn’t painful though which was good.. but im going to keep using this product and try different methods to see if it works.

The consistency of the mask is very smooth and allows for easy application and removal. It also have a cooling effect when applied and doesn't tug at the skin when it dried and when removed. Whilst this mask is pleasant to use I was disappointed with the results, my skin felt soft and refreshed however I feel like it didn't do much to reduce the appearance of pores or leave them unclogged. While pore strip are unenjoyable in comparison they are more effective.

I have used this product for nearly 3 weeks, 3 times a week during the night and have noticed a significant difference in the amount of blackheads on my nose and forehead areas. Compared to other peel off masks, you will need to build quite a thick layer in order for it to effectively pull the black heads off. Being oily skinned, its worked wonders, definitely will continue using this product and surprised to see it stocked in most supermarkets and chemists!\n

This product applies nicely onto the skin, getting a nice even layer. The smell and consistency are both fairly pleasant. However, in its effectiveness it does leave the skin nice and smooth after, similarly to an exfoliator it seemed to only remove dry skin instead of removing the blackheads.\nIt is also worth a mention that with slightly sensitive skin you will end up with some redness in that area. Overall its okay but i wouldn't re-purchase it again.\n

This is a really easy to use mask, just apply and peel off, super easy. It comes at a budget friendly price so its great value for money. I did notice a difference in my skin after using this mask, it effectively removed dead skin and grime to reveal brighter smoother skin, however I dont feel it was that great at removing blackheads, which is its claim. The charcoal is great for a deep cleanse if you use a thick layer, however this does take a while to dry. One plus is it doesnt leave my face feeling tight and dry like some masks, I felt it was quite hydrating. The handy tube is easy to use and for applying the product and the scent is quite pleasant, its a little hard to remove though. It does minimise the appearance of pores and helps control an oily tzone, on the bright side. I really liked this mask and would recommend it for brighter skin.

The product has a good smell comparing to other similar products, but unfortunately it it not worth it. It didn't get rid of black heads at all. It helped to get rid of some dead skin and gave a brief feeling of a "smooth" skin but the feeling is gone after a few hours, and my skin became extremely oily (I normally have dry skin). It also made my skin really red and sensitive after using it, even after applying moisturiser.
